Olivia Ancona - 3rd year with NWPDP

Born in San Francisco, Olivia Ancona is currently attending The Juilliard School. She was a Jefferson Dancer for two years and has studied intensively in Portland with NWPDP Artistic Director, Sarah Slipper. Olivia also studied at Pacific Artists Dance Center and with Polaris Dance Theater. Her earlier studies included two years with the London Children's Ballet at Sadler's Wells. She has attended summer intensives in London, Edinburgh, at Boston Ballet Dancelab, American Ballet Theatre, Juilliard and participated in NWPDP's annual Project. In an article about Portland's most notable female artists of 2007, Willamette Week, praised Olivia, saying she "brought liquid lines and a cool dramatic intensity to her roles in Sarah Slipper's "The Nuisance of Being" and Luca Veggetti's "Ensemble for Somnambulists." This is Olivia's second season as a PC member.
Kelly Ann Barton - 5th year with NWPDP

A Portland native, Kelly Ann Barton studied intensively with NWPDP Artistic Director, Sarah Slipper, and choreographed as a member of the Jefferson Dancers. Kelly Ann has received numerous awards and scholarships in dance. At the 2006 National High School Dance Festival, her debut choreographic effort, "Part of Darkness," received third place prize. In 2006, she joined Spectrum Dance Theater under the direction of Donald Byrd, where she is currently in her second season. In spring of 2007, she performed in 5th Avenue Theatre's production of "West Side Story." In a review of NWPDP 2007 Showing by Dance Makers, The Oregonian newspaper noted Kelly Ann's "power and plasticity." This is Kelly Ann's second season as a PC member.
Samantha Campbell - 2nd year with NWPDP

Samantha Campbell is from Salt Lake City, Utah. She attended the University of Utah as a Ballet major and graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in May, 2007. She was a member of Utah Ballet for three years while at the University and is currently dancing with the Alabama Ballet. In her first year with NWPDP, Samantha was featured in Donald McKayle's jazzy "Syncopated Gambol." This is Samantha's second season as a PC member.
Lex Dones - 2nd year with NWPDP

Lex Dones hails from Portland where he began his dance training at the age of five. He trained with local dance schools, and for four years he was a key dancer in Portland's highly celebrated Jefferson Dancers. Under the artistic direction of Steve Gonzales, he performed in over 50 shows a season and toured both nationally and internationally. Lex also worked with leading names in dance while participating in NWPDP's 2006 Project. In July of 2007, He relocated to New York City to work with MOMIX Dance Theatre under the artistic direction of Moses Pendleton. At the age of 19, Lex has already toured internationally with MOMIX to Frankfurt, Germany and Spain. This is Lex's first year as a PC member.
Barrington Hinds - 2nd year with NWPDP

Barrington Hinds is from West Palm Beach, Florida, and has trained with the School of Ballet Florida and Taipie National University of the Arts. He holds a BFA in dance from SUNY Purchase College, has worked professionally with VERB Ballets, and just finished his national tour of the Tony Award winning Broadway show, "Movin' Out." This is Barrington's first year as a PC member.
Andrea Parson - 2nd year with NWPDP

Andrea Parson, originally from Portland, Oregon, is currently a third year dance major at Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles. While primarily training in Portland, she has also participated in workshops with the Joffrey Ballet and San Francisco Conservatory of Dance. She has traveled throughout Oregon and Washington as a dance instructor for Northwest Dance Company. Andrea has also worked professionally with L.A.-based choreographer Chad Hall. In the summer of 2007 she participated for her first time in NWPDP's Project, dancing leading roles in Cayetano Soto's "Not Yet" and Luca Veggetti's "Inner Shore." This is Andrea's first year as a PC member.
Amanda Phillips-Bosshart - 3rd year with NWPDP

A Connecticut native, Amanda Phillips-Bosshart has danced professionally with the Hartford Ballet, Sarasota Ballet of Florida, and Lyric Opera of Chicago. She has attended NWPDP, ABT summer programs in NYC, Exploring Ballet with Suzanne Farrell, and was on scholarship at Hubbard Street in Chicago. As a soloist with Sarasota Ballet, she was most acclaimed for her performance in the title role in Alberto Alonso's "Carmen." Currently, Amanda is in her second season with BalletMet and has had the privilege of working with choreographers such as Brian Enos, Nai Ni Chen, and Jacek Luminski, among many others. As a PC member she has performed NWPDP works by Sarah Slipper, James Canfield, Luca Veggetti, Donald McKayle, and Thaddeus Davis. This is Amanda's second season as a PC member.
Viktor Usov - 4th year with NWPDP

Viktor Usov was born in the Ukraine and raised in Portland, Oregon. Viktor has trained extensively with NWPDP Artistic Director, Sarah Slipper, and with Steve Gonzales, Director of The Jefferson Dancers. Viktor has created several original roles with NWPDP choreographers such as Donald McKayle, Sarah Slipper, Lauri Stallings, Gioconda Barbuto, Stephen Mills and James Canfield. Viktor is currently attending The Juilliard School. This is Viktor's second year as a PC member.
Andrea Kehaulani Vierra - 2nd year with NWPDP

Connecticut native Andrea Kehaulani Vierra danced with Atlanta Ballet for five years and recently completed her first year with Nashville Ballet. She has been fortunate enough to perform choreography by George Balanchine, Thaddeus Davis, John McFall, Michael Pink, Lauri Stallings, Ben Stevenson, Paul Vasterling, Violette Verdy, Stanton Welch and Lila York among others. Summer training has taken her to various places including Canada, Martha's Vineyard, Mississippi, New York and Oregon. Andrea is excited to return to NWPDP as she feels it provides her with the unparalleled opportunity to dance, as well as work with many notable directors and choreographers. A highlight for her was opening NWPDP's 2006 Gala with Josie Moseley's solo "In Her Bones." This is Andrea's first year as a PC member.
Lateef Williams - 2nd year with NWPDP

Lateef Williams began his dance training at the age of eight at the Academy of Dance, in Wilmington, Delaware. He later studied on full scholarship at the School of American Ballet for two years, where he performed leading roles in works by George Balanchine and Jerome Robbins. Lateef also studied at the Pacific Northwest Ballet School, having the opportunity to perform with the company in a variety of ballets. Lateef joined Kansas City Ballet in the fall of 2005. Since joining the company, he has performed roles by such noted choreographers as Twyla Tharp, George Balanchine, Fernand Nault, Lynn Taylor Corbett, and José Limón. During NWPDP's 2007 Project, Lateef worked with Lauri Stallings and Thaddeus Davis on new creations. This is Lateef's first year as a PC member.
