Our annual performances showcasing our all world premiere program by six extraordinary choreographers. Come experience an evening of innovative, beautiful and thought provoking dance.

NWPDP provides our choreographers the chance to create new works without constraints, restrictions or expectations - an increasing rare working opportunity in the field. All our choreographers come together for two weeks of intense creation and collaborate with our talented 2008 Project dancers, culminating in our incredible Showing By Dance Makers.

This year's esteemed choreographers include:
- A world premiere by beloved choreographer and living dance legend, Donald McKayle, named "One of America's Irreplaceable Dance Treasures."
- Mark Godden - An acclaimed international choreographer noted for his spectacular full-length "Dracula" and "The Magic Flute" ballets set on leading companies around the world.
- Jamey Hampton - Portland's own adventurous choreographer and Co-Artistic Director of BodyVox.
- Edgar Zendejas - Artistic Director of ezDanza, Associate Choreographer of Les Ballets de Montreal and an artist on the rise.
- Cayetano Soto - Spanish born choreographer, currently working with Ballet Theater Munich whose recent work for the Royal Ballet of Flanders won the Hapag Lloyd prize. Cayetano arrives fresh on the heels of a new creation for the prestigious Stuttgart Ballet.
- Thaddeus Davis - Artistic Director of Wideman Davis Dance in New York and a choreographer who has created numerous works for major companies across the US.

Performances will be followed by a talk-back question-and-answer session with the choreographers.

Our annual Showing By Dance Makers has ushered in the premieres of 27 dance works in its previous four years and our sold-out performances have been called "the dance event of the summer."

Early ticket purchase is recommended.
